I only purchase cars i am familiar with working on. Usually cars 10-20 years old have depreciated a lot and are easy to find in salvage yards making them cheap and easy to fix if you have the tools and knowledge on how to fix cars. Usually the bigger the issues with the car{mechanical, exterior or interior} the more work it is going to require, BUT the less expensive it is going to be and the bigger the profits.
One HUGE advantage is having done this for 10 plus years i have a large inventory of wheels & tires, interior & exterior parts, heads, water pumps, radiators, starters, alternators EXT….. This really helps cut down on costs.
